in the daytime
וְלֹ֣א

תַעֲנֶ֑ה
You do hear
וְ֝לַ֗יְלָה
and in the night [season]
וְֽלֹא־
and not
דֽוּמִיָּ֥ה
am silent
לִֽי׃
to

וְאַתָּ֥ה
But You [are]
קָד֑וֹשׁ
holy
י֝וֹשֵׁ֗ב
Enthroned in
תְּהִלּ֥וֹת
the praises
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
of Israel

בְּ֭ךָ
In You
בָּטְח֣וּ
trusted
אֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ
Our fathers
בָּ֝טְח֗וּ
they trusted
וַֽתְּפַלְּטֵֽמוֹ׃
and You delivered them

אֵלֶ֣יךָ
To You
זָעֲק֣וּ
they cried
וְנִמְלָ֑טוּ
and were delivered
בְּךָ֖
in You
בָטְח֣וּ
they trusted
וְלֹא־
and not
בֽוֹשׁוּ׃
were ashamed

וְאָנֹכִ֣י
But I [am]
תוֹלַ֣עַת
a worm
וְלֹא־
and no
אִ֑ישׁ
man
חֶרְפַּ֥ת
a reproach
אָ֝דָ֗ם
of men
וּבְז֥וּי
and despised by
עָֽם׃
the people

רֹ֭אַי
those who see Me
יַלְעִ֣גוּ
ridicule
לִ֑י
Me
יַפְטִ֥ירוּ
they shoot
בְ֝שָׂפָ֗ה
out the lip
יָנִ֥יעוּ
they shake [saying]
רֹֽאשׁ׃

יְהוָ֣ה

יְפַלְּטֵ֑הוּ
let Him rescue Him
יַ֝צִּילֵ֗הוּ
let Him deliver Him

He delights
בּֽוֹ׃
in Him

כִּֽי־

אַתָּ֣ה
You [are]
גֹחִ֣י
He who took Me
מִבָּ֑טֶן
out of the womb
מַ֝בְטִיחִ֗י
You made Me trust
עַל־
[while] on
שְׁדֵ֥י
breasts
אִמִּֽי׃
of My mother

עָ֭לֶיךָ
Upon You
הָשְׁלַ֣כְתִּי
I was cast
מֵרָ֑חֶם
from birth
מִבֶּ֥טֶן
from womb
אִ֝מִּ֗י
Of My mother
אֵ֣לִי
My God
אָֽתָּה׃
You [have been]

אַל־
Not
תִּרְחַ֣ק
Be far
מִ֭מֶּנִּי
from Be
כִּי־
for
צָרָ֣ה
trouble [is]
קְרוֹבָ֑ה
near
כִּי־
for
אֵ֥ין
[there is] none
עוֹזֵֽר׃
to help

סְ֭בָבוּנִי
Have surrounded Me
פָּרִ֣ים
bulls
רַבִּ֑ים

אַבִּירֵ֖י
Mighty [bulls]
בָשָׁ֣ן
of Bashan
כִּתְּרֽוּנִי׃
have encircled Me

פָּצ֣וּ
They gape
עָלַ֣י
at Me
פִּיהֶ֑ם
[with] their mouths
אַ֝רְיֵ֗ה
lion
טֹרֵ֥ף
[Like] a raging
וְשֹׁאֵֽג׃
and roaring

כַּמַּ֥יִם
Like water
נִשְׁפַּכְתִּי֮
I am poured out
וְהִתְפָּֽרְד֗וּ
and are out of joint
כָּֽל־
all
עַצְמ֫וֹתָ֥י
My bones
הָיָ֣ה
is
לִ֭בִּי
My heart
כַּדּוֹנָ֑ג
like wax
נָ֝מֵ֗ס
it has melted
בְּת֣וֹךְ
within
מֵעָֽי׃
Me

יָ֘בֵ֤שׁ
Is dried up
כַּחֶ֨רֶשׂ ׀
like a potsherd
כֹּחִ֗י
My strength
וּ֭לְשׁוֹנִי
and My tongue
מֻדְבָּ֣ק
clings
מַלְקוֹחָ֑י
to My jaws
וְֽלַעֲפַר־
and to the dust
מָ֥וֶת
of death
תִּשְׁפְּתֵֽנִי׃
You have brought Me

כִּ֥י
For
סְבָב֗וּנִי
have surrounded Me
כְּלָ֫בִ֥ים
dogs
עֲדַ֣ת
the congregation
מְ֭רֵעִים
of the wicked
הִקִּיפ֑וּנִי
has enclosed Me
כָּ֝אֲרִ֗י
they pierced
יָדַ֥י
My hands
וְרַגְלָֽי׃
and My feet

אֲסַפֵּ֥ר
I can count
כָּל־
all
עַצְמוֹתָ֑י
My bones
הֵ֥מָּה
They
יַ֝בִּ֗יטוּ
look
יִרְאוּ־
[and] stare
בִֽי׃
at Me

יְחַלְּק֣וּ
They divide
בְגָדַ֣י
My garments
לָהֶ֑ם
among them
וְעַל־
and for
לְ֝בוּשִׁ֗י
My clothing
יַפִּ֥ילוּ
they cast
גוֹרָֽל׃
lots
19
וְאַתָּ֣ה
But You
יְ֭הוָה
Yahweh
אַל־
not
תִּרְחָ֑ק
do be far from Me
אֱ֝יָלוּתִ֗י
My Strength
לְעֶזְרָ֥תִי
to help Me
חֽוּשָׁה׃
hasten

הַצִּ֣ילָה
Deliver
מֵחֶ֣רֶב
from the sword
נַפְשִׁ֑י
Me
מִיַּד־
from the power
כֶּ֝֗לֶב
of the dog
יְחִידָתִֽי׃
My precious [life]

ה֭וֹשִׁיעֵנִי
Save Me
מִפִּ֣י
from the mouth
אַרְיֵ֑ה
lion's
וּמִקַּרְנֵ֖י
and from the horns
רֵמִ֣ים
of the wild oxen
עֲנִיתָֽנִי׃
You have answered Me

אֲסַפְּרָ֣ה
I will declare
שִׁמְךָ֣
Your name
לְאֶחָ֑י
to My brothers
בְּת֖וֹךְ
in the midst
קָהָ֣ל
of the assembly
אֲהַלְלֶֽךָּ׃
I will praise You
23
יִרְאֵ֤י
You who fear
יְהוָ֨ה ׀
Yahweh
הַֽלְל֗וּהוּ
praise Him
כָּל־
all
זֶ֣רַע
you descendants
יַעֲקֹ֣ב
of Jacob
כַּבְּד֑וּהוּ
glorify Him
וְג֥וּרוּ
and fear
מִ֝מֶּ֗נּוּ
Him
כָּל־
all
זֶ֥רַע
you offspring
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
of Israel

כִּ֤י

לֹֽא־
not
בָזָ֨ה
He has despised
וְלֹ֪א
nor
שִׁקַּ֡ץ
abhorred
עֱנ֬וּת
the affliction
עָנִ֗י
of the afflicted
וְלֹא־
nor
הִסְתִּ֣יר
has He hidden
פָּנָ֣יו
His face
מִמֶּ֑נּוּ
from Him
וּֽבְשַׁוְּע֖וֹ
but when He cried
אֵלָ֣יו
to Him
שָׁמֵֽעַ׃
He heard

מֵ֥אִתְּךָ֗
Of You
תְֽהִלָּ֫תִ֥י
My praise [shall be]
בְּקָהָ֥ל
in the assembly
רָ֑ב
great
נְדָרַ֥י
My vows
אֲ֝שַׁלֵּ֗ם
I will pay
נֶ֣גֶד
before
יְרֵאָֽיו׃
those who fear Him

יֹאכְל֬וּ
Shall eat
עֲנָוִ֨ים ׀
the poor
וְיִשְׂבָּ֗עוּ
and be satisfied
יְהַֽלְל֣וּ
will praise
יְ֭הוָה
Yahweh
דֹּ֣רְשָׁ֑יו
Those who seek Him
יְחִ֖י
let live
לְבַבְכֶ֣ם
your heart
לָעַֽד׃
forever

יִזְכְּר֤וּ ׀
Shall remember
וְיָשֻׁ֣בוּ
and turn
אֶל־

יְ֭הוָה
Yahweh
כָּל־
all
אַפְסֵי־
the ends [of]
אָ֑רֶץ
the world
וְיִֽשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּ
and shall worship
לְ֝פָנֶ֗יךָ
before You
כָּֽל־
all
מִשְׁפְּח֥וֹת
the families
גּוֹיִֽם׃
of the nations

כִּ֣י
For
לַ֭יהוָה
Yahweh's
הַמְּלוּכָ֑ה
the kingdom [is]
וּ֝מֹשֵׁ֗ל
and He rules
בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃
over the nations
29
אָכְל֬וּ
Shall eat
וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוּ֨וּ ׀
and worship
כָּֽל־
all
דִּשְׁנֵי־
the prosperous
אֶ֗רֶץ
of earth
לְפָנָ֣יו
before Him
יִ֭כְרְעוּ
shall bow
כָּל־
all
יוֹרְדֵ֣י
those who go down
עָפָ֑ר
to the dust
וְ֝נַפְשׁ֗וֹ
and Even himself
לֹ֣א
cannot
חִיָּֽה׃
he who keep alive

זֶ֥רַע
A posterity
יַֽעַבְדֶ֑נּוּ
shall serve Him
יְסֻפַּ֖ר
it will be recounted
לַֽאדֹנָ֣י
of the Lord
לַדּֽוֹר׃
to the [next] generation
31
יָ֭בֹאוּ
They will come
וְיַגִּ֣ידוּ
and declare
צִדְקָת֑וֹ
His righteousness
לְעַ֥ם
to a people
נ֝וֹלָ֗ד
who will be born
כִּ֣י
that
עָשָֽׂה׃
He has done [this]
