לַ֝מְנַצֵּ֗חַ
To the Chief Musician
לְדָוִ֥ד
of David
מִזְמֽוֹר׃
A Psalm
קַוֺּ֣ה
patiently
קִוִּ֣יתִי
I waited for
יְהוָ֑ה
Yahweh
וַיֵּ֥ט
and He inclined
אֵ֝לַ֗י
to me
וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע
and heard
שַׁוְעָתִֽי׃
my cry

וַיַּעֲלֵ֤נִי ׀
And He brought me up
מִבּ֥וֹר
out of a pit
שָׁאוֹן֮
horrible
מִטִּ֪יט
Out of clay
הַיָּ֫וֵ֥ן
the miry
וַיָּ֖קֶם
and set
עַל־
upon
סֶ֥לַע
a rock
רַגְלַ֗י
my feet
כּוֹנֵ֥ן
[And] established
אֲשֻׁרָֽי׃
my steps

וַיִּתֵּ֬ן
And He has put
בְּפִ֨י ׀
in my mouth
שִׁ֥יר
a song
חָדָשׁ֮
new
תְּהִלָּ֪ה
Praise
לֵֽאלֹ֫הֵ֥ינוּ
to our God
יִרְא֣וּ
will see [it]
רַבִּ֣ים
Many
וְיִירָ֑אוּ
and fear
וְ֝יִבְטְח֗וּ
and will trust
בַּיהוָֽה׃
in Yahweh

אַ֥שְֽׁרֵי
Blessed [is]
הַגֶּ֗בֶר
that man
אֲשֶׁר־
who
שָׂ֣ם
makes
יְ֭הֹוָה
Yahweh
מִבְטַח֑וֹ
his trust
וְֽלֹא־
and not
פָנָ֥ה
does respect
אֶל־
unto
רְ֝הָבִ֗ים
the proud
וְשָׂטֵ֥י
nor such as turn aside
כָזָֽב׃
to lies

רַבּ֤וֹת
Many [are]
עָשִׂ֨יתָ ׀
which have done
אַתָּ֤ה ׀
You
יְהוָ֣ה
Yahweh
אֱלֹהַי֮
my God
נִֽפְלְאֹתֶ֥יךָ
Your wonderful works
וּמַחְשְׁבֹתֶ֗יךָ
and Your thoughts
אֵ֫לֵ֥ינוּ
toward us
אֵ֤ין ׀
[Can] not
עֲרֹ֬ךְ
be recounted in order
אֵלֶ֗יךָ
to You
אַגִּ֥ידָה
[If] I would declare
וַאֲדַבֵּ֑רָה
and speak [of them]
עָ֝צְמ֗וּ
they are more
מִסַּפֵּֽר׃
than can be numbered

זֶ֤בַח
Sacrifice
וּמִנְחָ֨ה ׀
and offering
לֹֽא־
not
חָפַ֗צְתָּ
You did desire
אָ֭זְנַיִם
My ears
כָּרִ֣יתָ
You have opened
לִּ֑י
to
עוֹלָ֥ה
Burnt offering
וַ֝חֲטָאָ֗ה
and sin offering
לֹ֣א
not
שָׁאָֽלְתָּ׃
You did require

אָ֣ז
Then
אָ֭מַרְתִּי
I said
הִנֵּה־
behold
בָ֑אתִי
I come
בִּמְגִלַּת־
in the scroll
סֵ֝֗פֶר
of the book
כָּת֥וּב
[it is] written
עָלָֽי׃
of me

לַֽעֲשֽׂוֹת־
To do
רְצוֹנְךָ֣
Your will
אֱלֹהַ֣י
my God
חָפָ֑צְתִּי
I delight
וְ֝ת֥וֹרָתְךָ֗
and Your law [is]
בְּת֣וֹךְ
within
מֵעָֽי׃
my heart

בִּשַּׂ֤רְתִּי
I have proclaimed the good news
צֶ֨דֶק ׀
of righteousness
בְּקָ֘הָ֤ל
in the assembly
רָ֗ב
great
הִנֵּ֣ה
indeed
שְׂ֭פָתַי
my lips
לֹ֣א
not
אֶכְלָ֑א
I do restrain
יְ֝הוָ֗ה
Yahweh
אַתָּ֥ה
You
יָדָֽעְתָּ׃
know

צִדְקָתְךָ֬
Your righteousness
לֹא־
not
כִסִּ֨יתִי ׀
I have hidden
בְּת֬וֹךְ
within
לִבִּ֗י
my heart
אֱמוּנָתְךָ֣
Your faithfulness
וּתְשׁוּעָתְךָ֣
and Your salvation
אָמָ֑רְתִּי
I have declared
לֹא־
not
כִחַ֥דְתִּי
I have concealed
חַסְדְּךָ֥
Your lovingkindness
וַ֝אֲמִתְּךָ֗
and Your truth
לְקָהָ֥ל
from the assembly
רָֽב׃
great

אַתָּ֤ה
You
יְהוָ֗ה
Yahweh
לֹא־
not
תִכְלָ֣א
do withhold
רַחֲמֶ֣יךָ
Your tender mercies
מִמֶּ֑נִּי
from me
חַסְדְּךָ֥
Your lovingkindness
וַ֝אֲמִתְּךָ֗
and Your truth
תָּמִ֥יד
continually
יִצְּרֽוּנִי׃
let preserve me

כִּ֤י
For
אָפְפ֥וּ־
have surrounded
עָלַ֨י ׀
me
רָע֡וֹת
evils
עַד־
innumerable
אֵ֬ין
else
מִסְפָּ֗ר
innumerable
הִשִּׂיג֣וּנִי
have overtaken me
עֲ֭וֺנֹתַי
My iniquities
וְלֹא־
so that not
יָכֹ֣לְתִּי
I am able
לִרְא֑וֹת
to look up
עָצְמ֥וּ
they are more
מִשַּֽׂעֲר֥וֹת
than the hairs
רֹ֝אשִׁ֗י
of my head
וְלִבִּ֥י
therefore my heart
עֲזָבָֽנִי׃
fails me

רְצֵ֣ה

לְהַצִּילֵ֑נִי
to deliver me

לְעֶזְרָ֥תִי

חֽוּשָׁה׃

יֵ֘בֹ֤שׁוּ
Let them be ashamed
וְיַחְפְּר֨וּ ׀
and brought to confusion
יַחַד֮
mutual
מְבַקְשֵׁ֥י
who seek
נַפְשִׁ֗י
my life
לִסְפּ֫וֹתָ֥הּ
to destroy
יִסֹּ֣גוּ
let them be driven
אָ֭חוֹר

וְיִכָּלְמ֑וּ
and brought to dishonor
חֲ֝פֵצֵ֗י

וְיִשְׂמְח֨וּ ׀

Yahweh
יַחֲשָׁ֫ב
[Yet] thinks
לִ֥י
upon me
עֶזְרָתִ֣י
my help
וּמְפַלְטִ֣י
and my deliverer
אַ֑תָּה
You [are]
אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י
my God
אַל־
Not
תְּאַחַֽר׃
do delay
