תִּתְחַ֥ר
do fret
בַּמְּרֵעִ֑ים
because of evildoers
אַל־
nor
תְּ֝קַנֵּ֗א
be envious
בְּעֹשֵׂ֥י
of the workers
עַוְלָֽה׃
of iniquity

כִּ֣י
For
כֶ֭חָצִיר
like the grass
מְהֵרָ֣ה
soon
יִמָּ֑לוּ
they shall be cut down
וּכְיֶ֥רֶק
and as green
דֶּ֝֗שֶׁא
the herb
יִבּוֹלֽוּן׃
wither

בְּטַ֣ח
Trust
בַּֽ֭יהוָה
in Yahweh
וַעֲשֵׂה־
and do
ט֑וֹב
good
שְׁכָן־
Dwell
אֶ֝֗רֶץ
in the land
וּרְעֵ֥ה
and feed on
אֱמוּנָֽה׃
His faithfulness

וְהִתְעַנַּ֥ג
And Delight yourself
עַל־
in
יְהוָ֑ה
Yahweh
וְיִֽתֶּן־
and He shall give
לְ֝ךָ֗
you
מִשְׁאֲלֹ֥ת
the desires
לִבֶּֽךָ׃
of your heart

גּ֣וֹל
Commit
עַל־
to
יְהוָ֣ה
Yahweh
דַּרְכֶּ֑ךָ
your way
וּבְטַ֥ח
and Trust
עָ֝לָ֗יו
in Him
וְה֣וּא
and He
יַעֲשֶֽׂה׃
shall bring [it] to pass

וְהוֹצִ֣יא
And He shall bring forth
כָא֣וֹר
as the light
צִדְקֶ֑ךָ
your righteousness
וּ֝מִשְׁפָּטֶ֗ךָ
and your justice
כַּֽצָּהֳרָֽיִם׃
as the noonday
7
דּ֤וֹם ׀
Rest
לַיהוָה֮
in Yahweh
וְהִתְח֪וֹלֵ֫ל
and wait patiently
ל֥וֹ
for him
אַל־
not
תִּ֭תְחַר
do fret
בְּמַצְלִ֣יחַ
because of Him who prospers
דַּרְכּ֑וֹ
in his way
בְּ֝אִ֗ישׁ
because of the man
עֹשֶׂ֥ה
who brings to pass
מְזִמּֽוֹת׃
wicked schemes

הֶ֣רֶף
Cease
מֵ֭אַף
from anger
וַעֲזֹ֣ב
and forsake
חֵמָ֑ה
wrath
אַל־
not
תִּ֝תְחַ֗ר
do fret
אַךְ־
only
לְהָרֵֽעַ׃
it causes harm
9
כִּֽי־
For
מְ֭רֵעִים
evildoers
יִכָּרֵת֑וּן
shall be cut off
וְקֹוֵ֥י
but those who wait on
יְ֝הוָ֗ה
Yahweh
הֵ֣מָּה
they
יִֽירְשׁוּ־
shall inherit
אָֽרֶץ׃
the earth
10
וְע֣וֹד
For yet
מְ֭עַט
a little while
וְאֵ֣ין
and [shall be] no [more]
רָשָׁ֑ע
the wicked
וְהִתְבּוֹנַ֖נְתָּ
and indeed you will look carefully
עַל־
for
מְקוֹמ֣וֹ
his place
וְאֵינֶֽנּוּ׃
but it [shall be] no [more]

וַעֲנָוִ֥ים
But the meek
יִֽירְשׁוּ־
shall inherit
אָ֑רֶץ
the earth
וְ֝הִתְעַנְּג֗וּ
and shall delight themselves
עַל־
in
רֹ֥ב
the abundance
שָׁלֽוֹם׃
of peace

זֹמֵ֣ם
Plots
רָ֭שָׁע
the wicked
לַצַּדִּ֑יק
against the just
וְחֹרֵ֖ק
and gnashes
עָלָ֣יו
at him
שִׁנָּֽיו׃
with his teeth
13
אֲדֹנָ֥י
The Lord
יִשְׂחַק־
laughs
ל֑וֹ
at him
כִּֽי־
for
רָ֝אָ֗ה
He sees
כִּֽי־
that
יָבֹ֥א
is coming
יוֹמֽוֹ׃
his day
14
חֶ֤רֶב ׀
The sword
פָּֽתְח֣וּ
have drawn
רְשָׁעִים֮
the wicked
וְדָרְכ֪וּ
and have bent
קַ֫שְׁתָּ֥ם
their bow
לְ֭הַפִּיל
to cast down
עָנִ֣י
the poor
וְאֶבְי֑וֹן
and needy
לִ֝טְב֗וֹחַ
to slay
יִשְׁרֵי־
those who are of upright
דָֽרֶךְ׃
conduct

חַ֭רְבָּם
Their sword
תָּב֣וֹא
shall enter
בְלִבָּ֑ם
their own heart
וְ֝קַשְּׁתוֹתָ֗ם
and their bows
תִּשָּׁבַֽרְנָה׃
shall be broken

טוֹב־
[Is] better
מְ֭עַט
a little
לַצַּדִּ֑יק
that a righteous man has
מֵ֝הֲמ֗וֹן
than the riches
רְשָׁעִ֥ים
of wicked
רַבִּֽים׃
many

כִּ֤י
For
זְרוֹע֣וֹת
the arms
רְ֭שָׁעִים
of the wicked
תִּשָּׁבַ֑רְנָה
shall be broken
וְסוֹמֵ֖ךְ
but upholds
צַדִּיקִ֣ים
the righteous
יְהוָֽה׃
Yahweh

יוֹדֵ֣עַ
Knows
יְ֭הוָה
Yahweh
יְמֵ֣י
the days
תְמִימִ֑ם
of the upright
וְ֝נַחֲלָתָ֗ם
and their inheritance
לְעוֹלָ֥ם
forever
תִּהְיֶֽה׃
shall be

לֹֽא־
Not
יֵ֭בֹשׁוּ
they shall be ashamed
בְּעֵ֣ת
in the time
רָעָ֑ה
evil
וּבִימֵ֖י
and in the days
רְעָב֣וֹן
of famine
יִשְׂבָּֽעוּ׃
they shall be satisfied

כִּ֤י
But
רְשָׁעִ֨ים ׀
the wicked
יֹאבֵ֗דוּ
shall perish
וְאֹיְבֵ֣י
and the enemies
יְ֭הוָה
of Yahweh
כִּיקַ֣ר
Like the splendor
כָּרִ֑ים
of the meadows
כָּל֖וּ
shall vanish
בֶעָשָׁ֣ן
Into smoke
כָּֽלוּ׃
they shall vanish away

לֹוֶ֣ה
Borrows
רָ֭שָׁע
the wicked
וְלֹ֣א
and not
יְשַׁלֵּ֑ם
does repay
וְ֝צַדִּ֗יק
but the righteous
חוֹנֵ֥ן
shows mercy
וְנוֹתֵֽן׃
and gives

כִּ֣י
For
מְ֭בֹרָכָיו
[those] blessed by Him
יִ֣ירְשׁוּ
shall inherit
אָ֑רֶץ
the earth
וּ֝מְקֻלָּלָ֗יו
but [those] cursed by Him
יִכָּרֵֽתוּ׃
shall be cut off

מֵ֭יְהוָה
By Yahweh
מִֽצְעֲדֵי־
the steps
גֶ֥בֶר
of a [good] man
כּוֹנָ֗נוּ
are ordered
וְדַרְכּ֥וֹ
and in his way
יֶחְפָּֽץ׃
He delights
24
כִּֽי־
Though
יִפֹּ֥ל
he fall
לֹֽא־
not
יוּטָ֑ל
he shall be utterly cast down
כִּֽי־
for
יְ֝הוָ֗ה
Yahweh
סוֹמֵ֥ךְ
upholds [him]
יָדֽוֹ׃
[with] His hand

נַ֤עַר ׀
Young
הָיִ֗יתִי
I have been
גַּם־
and [now]
זָ֫קַ֥נְתִּי
am old
וְֽלֹא־
and yet not
רָ֭אִיתִי
I have seen
צַדִּ֣יק
the righteous
נֶעֱזָ֑ב
forsaken
וְ֝זַרְע֗וֹ
nor his descendants
מְבַקֶּשׁ־
begging
לָֽחֶם׃
bread

כָּל־
Ever
הַ֭יּוֹם
-
חוֹנֵ֣ן
[He is] merciful
וּמַלְוֶ֑ה
and lends
וְ֝זַרְע֗וֹ
and his descendants [are]
לִבְרָכָֽה׃
blessed
27
ס֣וּר
Depart
מֵ֭רָע
from evil
וַעֲשֵׂה־
and do
ט֗וֹב
good
וּשְׁכֹ֥ן
and dwell
לְעוֹלָֽם׃
forevermore

כִּ֤י
For
יְהוָ֨ה ׀
Yahweh
אֹ֘הֵ֤ב
loves
מִשְׁפָּ֗ט
justice
וְלֹא־
and not
יַעֲזֹ֣ב
does forsake
אֶת־
-
חֲ֭סִידָיו
His saints
לְעוֹלָ֣ם
forever
נִשְׁמָ֑רוּ
they are preserved
וְזֶ֖רַע
but the descendants
רְשָׁעִ֣ים
of the wicked
נִכְרָֽת׃
shall be cut off

צַדִּיקִ֥ים
The righteous
יִֽירְשׁוּ־
shall inherit
אָ֑רֶץ
the land
וְיִשְׁכְּנ֖וּ
and dwell
לָעַ֣ד
forever
עָלֶֽיהָ׃
in it

פִּֽי־
The mouth
צַ֭דִּיק
of the righteous
יֶהְגֶּ֣ה
speaks
חָכְמָ֑ה
wisdom
וּ֝לְשׁוֹנ֗וֹ
and his tongue
תְּדַבֵּ֥ר
talks
מִשְׁפָּֽט׃
of justice

תּוֹרַ֣ת
The law
אֱלֹהָ֣יו
of his God
בְּלִבּ֑וֹ
[is] in his heart
לֹ֖א
none
תִמְעַ֣ד
shall slide
אֲשֻׁרָיו׃
of his steps

צוֹפֶ֣ה
Watches
רָ֭שָׁע
the wicked
לַצַּדִּ֑יק
the righteous
וּ֝מְבַקֵּ֗שׁ
and seeks
לַהֲמִיתוֹ׃
to slay him
33
יְ֭הוָה
Yahweh
לֹא־
not
יַעַזְבֶ֣נּוּ
will leave him
בְיָד֑וֹ
in his hand
וְלֹ֥א
nor
יַ֝רְשִׁיעֶ֗נּוּ
condemn him
בְּהִשָּׁפְטֽוֹ׃
when he is judged

קַוֵּ֤ה
Wait
אֶל־
on
יְהוָ֨ה ׀
Yahweh
וּשְׁמֹ֬ר
and keep
דַּרְכּ֗וֹ
His way
וִֽ֭ירוֹמִמְךָ
and He shall exalt you
לָרֶ֣שֶׁת
to inherit
אָ֑רֶץ
the land
בְּהִכָּרֵ֖ת
when are cut off
רְשָׁעִ֣ים
the wicked
תִּרְאֶֽה׃
you shall see [it]

רָ֭אִיתִי
I have seen
רָשָׁ֣ע
the wicked
עָרִ֑יץ
in great power
וּ֝מִתְעָרֶ֗ה
and spreading himself
כְּאֶזְרָ֥ח
like a native [tree]
רַעֲנָֽן׃
green
36
וַ֭יַּֽעֲבֹר
And yet he passed away
וְהִנֵּ֣ה
and behold
אֵינֶ֑נּוּ
he [was] no [more]
וָֽ֝אֲבַקְשֵׁ֗הוּ
and indeed I sought him
וְלֹ֣א
but not
נִמְצָֽא׃
he could be found
37
שְׁמָר־
Mark
תָּ֭ם
the blameless [man]
וּרְאֵ֣ה
and observe
יָשָׁ֑ר
the upright
כִּֽי־
for
אַחֲרִ֖ית
the future
לְאִ֣ישׁ
of [that] man
שָׁלֽוֹם׃
[is] peace

וּֽ֭פֹשְׁעִים
But the transgressors
נִשְׁמְד֣וּ
shall be destroyed
יַחְדָּ֑ו
together
אַחֲרִ֖ית
the future
רְשָׁעִ֣ים
of the wicked
נִכְרָֽתָה׃
shall be cut off
39
וּתְשׁוּעַ֣ת
But the salvation
צַ֭דִּיקִים
of the righteous
מֵיְהוָ֑ה
[is] from Yahweh
מָֽ֝עוּזָּ֗ם
[He is] their strength
בְּעֵ֣ת
in the time
צָרָֽה׃
of trouble
40
וַֽיַּעְזְרֵ֥ם
And shall help them
יְהוָ֗ה
Yahweh
וַֽיְפַ֫לְּטֵ֥ם
and deliver them
יְפַלְּטֵ֣ם
He shall deliver them
מֵ֭רְשָׁעִים
from the wicked
וְיוֹשִׁיעֵ֑ם
and save them
כִּי־
because
חָ֥סוּ
they trust
בֽוֹ׃
in Him
