פְשָׁעָֽי׃
my transgressions

כַּבְּסֵ֣נִי
wash me
מֵעֲוֺנִ֑י
from my iniquity
וּֽמֵחַטָּאתִ֥י
and from my sin
טַהֲרֵֽנִי׃

כִּֽי־

פְ֭שָׁעַי
my transgressions
אֲנִ֣י
I
אֵדָ֑ע
acknowledge
וְחַטָּאתִ֖י
and my sin [is]
נֶגְדִּ֣י
before me
תָמִֽיד׃

לְךָ֤
Against You
לְבַדְּךָ֨ ׀
You only
חָטָאתִי֮
have I sinned
וְהָרַ֥ע
and [this] evil
בְּעֵינֶ֗יךָ
in Your sight
עָ֫שִׂ֥יתִי
done
לְ֭מַעַן
that
תִּצְדַּ֥ק
You may be found just
בְּדָבְרֶ֗ךָ
when You speak
תִּזְכֶּ֥ה
[And] blameless
בְשָׁפְטֶֽךָ׃
when You judge

הֵן־
Behold
בְּעָו֥וֹן
in iniquity
חוֹלָ֑לְתִּי
I was brought forth
וּ֝בְחֵ֗טְא
and in sin
יֶֽחֱמַ֥תְנִי
conceived me
אִמִּֽי׃
my mother

הֵן־
Behold
אֱ֭מֶת
truth
חָפַ֣צְתָּ
You desire
בַטֻּח֑וֹת
in the inward parts
וּ֝בְסָתֻ֗ם
and in the hidden [part]
חָכְמָ֥ה
wisdom
תוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃
You will make me to know

תְּחַטְּאֵ֣נִי
Purge me
בְאֵז֣וֹב
with hyssop
וְאֶטְהָ֑ר
and I shall be clean
תְּ֝כַבְּסֵ֗נִי
Wash me
וּמִשֶּׁ֥לֶג
and than snow
אַלְבִּֽין׃
I shall be whiter

תַּ֭שְׁמִיעֵנִי
Make me hear
שָׂשׂ֣וֹן
joy
וְשִׂמְחָ֑ה
and gladness
תָּ֝גֵ֗לְנָה
[That] may rejoice
עֲצָמ֥וֹת
the bones
דִּכִּֽיתָ׃
You have broken

הַסְתֵּ֣ר
Hide
פָּ֭נֶיךָ
Your face
מֵחֲטָאָ֑י
from my sins
וְֽכָל־
and all
עֲוֺ֖נֹתַ֣י
my iniquities
מְחֵֽה׃
blot out

לֵ֣ב
A heart
טָ֭הוֹר
clean
בְּרָא־
Create
לִ֣י
in me
אֱלֹהִ֑ים
God
וְר֥וּחַ
and a spirit
נָ֝כ֗וֹן
steadfast
חַדֵּ֥שׁ
renew
בְּקִרְבִּֽי׃
within me

אַל־
Not
תַּשְׁלִיכֵ֥נִי
do cast me away
מִלְּפָנֶ֑יךָ
from Your presence
וְר֥וּחַ
and Spirit
קָ֝דְשְׁךָ֗
Your Holy
אַל־
not
תִּקַּ֥ח
do take
מִמֶּֽנִּי׃
from me

הָשִׁ֣יבָה
Restore
לִּ֭י
to me
שְׂשׂ֣וֹן
the joy
יִשְׁעֶ֑ךָ
of Your salvation
וְר֖וּחַ
and [by Your] Spirit
נְדִיבָ֣ה
generous
תִסְמְכֵֽנִי׃
uphold me
13
אֲלַמְּדָ֣ה
[Then] I will teach
פֹשְׁעִ֣ים
transgressors
דְּרָכֶ֑יךָ
Your ways
וְ֝חַטָּאִ֗ים
and the sinful
אֵלֶ֥יךָ
to You
יָשֽׁוּבוּ׃
shall be converted

הַצִּ֘ילֵ֤נִי
Deliver me
מִדָּמִ֨ים ׀
from the guilt of bloodshed
אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים
God
אֱלֹהֵ֥י
the God
תְּשׁוּעָתִ֑י
of my salvation
תְּרַנֵּ֥ן
[And] shall sing aloud
לְ֝שׁוֹנִ֗י
my tongue
צִדְקָתֶֽךָ׃
of Your righteousness

אֲ֭דֹנָי

שְׂפָתַ֣י
my lips
תִּפְתָּ֑ח

וּ֝פִ֗י
and my mouth
יַגִּ֥יד
shall show forth
תְּהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃
Your praise

כִּ֤י ׀
For
לֹא־
not
תַחְפֹּ֣ץ
You do desire
זֶ֣בַח
sacrifice
וְאֶתֵּ֑נָה
or else I would give [it]
ע֝וֹלָ֗ה
in burnt offering
לֹ֣א
not
תִרְצֶֽה׃
You do delight

זִֽבְחֵ֣י
The sacrifices
אֱלֹהִים֮
of God
ר֪וּחַ
[are] a spirit
נִשְׁבָּ֫רָ֥ה
broken
לֵב־
heart
נִשְׁבָּ֥ר
a broken
וְנִדְכֶּ֑ה
and a contrite
אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים
God
לֹ֣א
not
תִבְזֶֽה׃
these You will despise

הֵיטִ֣יבָה
Do good
בִ֭רְצוֹנְךָ
in Your good pleasure
אֶת־

צִיּ֑וֹן
to Zion
תִּ֝בְנֶ֗ה

חוֹמ֥וֹת

יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
of Jerusalem

You shall be pleased
זִבְחֵי־
with the sacrifices
צֶ֭דֶק
of righteousness
עוֹלָ֣ה
with burnt offering
וְכָלִ֑יל
and whole [burnt offering]
אָ֤ז
then
יַעֲל֖וּ
they shall offer
עַל־
on
מִזְבַּחֲךָ֣
Your altar
פָרִֽים׃
