מִזְמ֗וֹר
A Psalm
לְאָ֫סָ֥ף
of Asaph
אֵ֤ל ׀
The Mighty one
אֱֽלֹהִ֡ים
God
יְֽהוָ֗ה
Yahweh
דִּבֶּ֥ר
Has spoken
וַיִּקְרָא־
and called
אָ֑רֶץ
the earth
מִמִּזְרַח־
from the rising
שֶׁ֝֗מֶשׁ
of the sun
עַד־
to
מְבֹאֽוֹ׃
its going down

מִצִּיּ֥וֹן
Out of Zion
מִכְלַל־
the perfection
יֹ֗פִי
of beauty
אֱלֹהִ֥ים
God
הוֹפִֽיעַ׃
will shine forth
3
יָ֤בֹ֥א
Shall come
אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ
Our God
וְֽאַל־
and not
יֶ֫חֱרַ֥שׁ
shall keep silent
אֵשׁ־
a fire
לְפָנָ֥יו
before Him
תֹּאכֵ֑ל
shall devour
וּ֝סְבִיבָ֗יו
and all around Him
נִשְׂעֲרָ֥ה
it shall be tempestuous
מְאֹֽד׃
very

יִקְרָ֣א
He shall call
אֶל־
to
הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם
the heavens
מֵעָ֑ל
from above
וְאֶל־
and to
הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ
the earth
לָדִ֥ין
that He may judge
עַמּֽוֹ׃
His people

אִסְפוּ־
Gather together
לִ֥י
to Me
חֲסִידָ֑י
My saints
כֹּרְתֵ֖י
Those who have made
בְרִיתִ֣י
a covenant with Me
עֲלֵי־
by
זָֽבַח׃
sacrifice
6
וַיַּגִּ֣ידוּ
And let declare
שָׁמַ֣יִם
the heavens
צִדְק֑וֹ
His righteousness
כִּֽי־
for
אֱלֹהִ֓ים ׀
God
שֹׁפֵ֖ט
Judge
ה֣וּא
He [is]
סֶֽלָה׃
Selah
7
שִׁמְעָ֤ה
Hear
עַמִּ֨י ׀
My people
וַאֲדַבֵּ֗רָה
and I will speak
יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל
Israel
וְאָעִ֣ידָה
and I will testify
בָּ֑ךְ
against you
אֱלֹהִ֖ים
God
אֱלֹהֶ֣יךָ
your God
אָנֹֽכִי׃
I [am]

לֹ֣א
Not
עַל־
for
זְ֭בָחֶיךָ
your sacrifices
אוֹכִיחֶ֑ךָ
I will rebuke you
וְעוֹלֹתֶ֖יךָ
Or your burnt offerings
לְנֶגְדִּ֣י
before Me
תָמִֽיד׃
[Which are] continually

לֹא־
Not
אֶקַּ֣ח
I will take
מִבֵּיתְךָ֣
from your house
פָ֑ר
a bull
מִ֝מִּכְלְאֹתֶ֗יךָ
out of your folds
עַתּוּדִֽים׃
[Nor] goats
10
כִּי־
For
לִ֥י
[is] Mine
כָל־
every
חַיְתוֹ־
beast
יָ֑עַר
of the forest
בְּ֝הֵמ֗וֹת
[And] the cattle
בְּהַרְרֵי־
on hills
אָֽלֶף׃
a thousand
11
יָ֭דַעְתִּי
I know
כָּל־
all
ע֣וֹף
the birds
הָרִ֑ים
of the mountains
וְזִ֥יז
and the wild beasts
שָׂ֝דַ֗י
of the field
עִמָּדִֽי׃
[are] Mine
12
אִם־
If
אֶ֭רְעַב
I were hungry
לֹא־
not
אֹ֣מַר
I would tell
לָ֑ךְ
you
כִּי־
for
לִ֥י
[is] Mine
תֵ֝בֵ֗ל
the world
וּמְלֹאָֽהּ׃
and all its fullness

הַֽ֭אוֹכַל
Will I eat
בְּשַׂ֣ר
the flesh
אַבִּירִ֑ים
of mighty [bulls]
וְדַ֖ם
Or the blood
עַתּוּדִ֣ים
of goats
אֶשְׁתֶּֽה׃
drink
14
זְבַ֣ח
Offer
לֵאלֹהִ֣ים
to God
תּוֹדָ֑ה
thanksgiving
וְשַׁלֵּ֖ם
and pay
לְעֶלְי֣וֹן
to the Most High
נְדָרֶֽיךָ׃
your vows
15
וּ֭קְרָאֵנִי
And Call upon Me
בְּי֣וֹם
in the day
צָרָ֑ה
of trouble
אֲ֝חַלֶּצְךָ֗
I will deliver you
וּֽתְכַבְּדֵֽנִי׃
and you shall glorify Me
16
וְלָ֤רָשָׁ֨ע ׀
But to the wicked
אָ֘מַ֤ר
says
אֱלֹהִ֗ים
God
מַה־
what [right]
לְּ֭ךָ
have you
לְסַפֵּ֣ר
to declare
חֻקָּ֑י
My statutes
וַתִּשָּׂ֖א
Or take
בְרִיתִ֣י
My covenant
עֲלֵי־
in
פִֽיךָ׃
your mouth

וְ֭אַתָּה
and Seeing you
שָׂנֵ֣אתָ
hate
מוּסָ֑ר
instruction
וַתַּשְׁלֵ֖ךְ
and cast
דְּבָרַ֣י
My words
אַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃
behind you
18
אִם־
When
רָאִ֣יתָ
you saw
גַ֭נָּב
a thief
וַתִּ֣רֶץ
and you consented
עִמּ֑וֹ
with him
וְעִ֖ם
and with
מְנָאֲפִ֣ים
adulterers
חֶלְקֶֽךָ׃
have been a partaker

פִּ֭יךָ
Your mouth
שָׁלַ֣חְתָּ
You give
בְרָעָ֑ה
to evil
וּ֝לְשׁוֹנְךָ֗
and your tongue
תַּצְמִ֥יד
frames
מִרְמָֽה׃
deceit
20
תֵּ֭שֵׁב
You sit
בְּאָחִ֣יךָ
against your brother
תְדַבֵּ֑ר
[and] speak
בְּבֶֽן־
son
אִ֝מְּךָ֗
Of your own mother
תִּתֶּן־
You
דֹּֽפִי׃
slander

אֵ֤לֶּה
These [things]
עָשִׂ֨יתָ ׀
you have done
וְֽהֶחֱרַ֗שְׁתִּי
and I kept silent
דִּמִּ֗יתָ
You thought
הֱֽיוֹת־
that I was
אֶֽהְיֶ֥ה
that I was altogether
כָמ֑וֹךָ
like you
אוֹכִיחֲךָ֖
[But] I will rebuke you
וְאֶֽעֶרְכָ֣ה
and set [them] in order
לְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃
before your eyes

בִּֽינוּ־
Consider
נָ֣א
now
זֹ֭את
this
שֹׁכְחֵ֣י
you who forget
אֱל֑וֹהַּ
God
פֶּן־
lest
אֶ֝טְרֹ֗ף
I tear [you] in pieces
וְאֵ֣ין
and [there be] none
מַצִּֽיל׃
to deliver
23
זֹבֵ֥חַ
Whoever offers
תּוֹדָ֗ה
praise
יְֽכַ֫בְּדָ֥נְנִי
glorifies Me
וְשָׂ֥ם
and to him who orders [aright]
דֶּ֑רֶךְ
[his] conduct
אַ֝רְאֶ֗נּוּ
I will show
בְּיֵ֣שַׁע
the salvation
אֱלֹהִֽים׃
of God
